Two-piano recording of Chad Twedt’s Teacher Duets for Burgmuller’s 25 Easy and Progressive Studies, Op. 100, for a second piano.

Hear Burgmuller’s early intermediate repertoire as you’ve never heard it before!  The duets were not written with the objective of being easy, but instead with the objective of musically enhancing all of Burgmuller’s originals.  This isn’t to say Burgmuller’s originals aren’t already masterpieces, but they are masterpieces limited to the skill of the developing pianist.  These teacher duets turn pedagogical repertoire into concert music.

This digital album consists of 28 tracks (256kbps, 16-bit, stereo), which includes all 25 pieces from the Op. 100 set, plus three alternate versions.  Track nos. 3, 9 and 21 are the more difficult “ossia” (alternate) versions of the duets provided in the score.
